Evening light, not guaranteed visibility of the sun. Buildings, the season and clouds can hide it earlier. The amber ray shows the calculated direction, not an unobstructed view. Stay off the bridge steps.
Show sunset stop The Tre Archi sunset plan belongs to the Main Walk. The Full 28-Stop Walk ends at Sant’Elena and does not use that timetable.
A starting point, not a shot list. Follow an idea, change it, or ignore it. There is no photograph quota, no need to invent a story, and nothing to submit. Use “Explore freely” to hide the prompts.
Cameras and phones are equally welcome. Sharing photos and buying anything are optional. Keep doorways, working spaces and narrow bridges clear. Ask permission for close portraits; do not look into homes or use memorials as props.
These are planning routes, not confirmed events. Pins mark approximate outdoor areas. Check access and bridge crossings on a scouting walk. Routes are not guaranteed step-free. Transport, museums and exhibition admission are not included.

Full 28-Stop Walk: the original full exploration remains intact, including Dorsoduro, Salute, Dogana, Campo della Tana, Viale Garibaldi, Riva dei Sette Martiri and Sant’Elena. Returning from Sant’Elena to Vino Vero is optional and adds a separate journey.

Photography ideas & references The guide has five optional phone-friendly ideas at every photo stop. Use an ordinary phone camera; special lenses, manual mode, a tripod and paid apps are not required. Main Walk: 11 stops. Full Walk: 28 stops.

Free map, navigation limits & privacy The detailed map uses OpenFreeMap with MapLibre and OpenStreetMap data. It does not use a paid Google Maps API. OpenFreeMap’s public service currently has no per-view fee or API key; availability is not guaranteed. A standard OpenStreetMap map is used if the vector map cannot load.
Place names appear at street-level zoom to keep the overview quiet. Nearby places are community-mapped listings, not extra walk stops, endorsements or a complete business directory. No live ratings, opening hours or walking-time estimates are attached to them. Labels prefer English where available; proper names remain local.
Google Maps · The 11-stop Main Walk has four walking parts and two separate waterbus journey links, with a change at Ferrovia. The Full 28-Stop Walk has seven walking parts.

Sunset uses SunCalc 1.9.0 for an unobstructed horizon at Tre Archi, with Europe/Rome daylight saving. The meeting suggestion appears only after street routing succeeds and includes editable pause time. It is a planning estimate, not live navigation.
Location is optional and off by default. Your position stays in this page memory and is not sent to the organiser or other participants. Map providers receive normal map requests for the area you view.
